The stay tool is used to add a stay to an existing pole. In order to use, simply left-click on the tool and then left-click on the pole to be added to in order to attach.

In the properties tab, you will see multiple options to fine-tune the stay to exact specifications. As these options allow for specific editing of a single stay, they are only shown when one is selected. The offset field controls how far away from the pole the stay attaches to the ground, while the top dist and height control the height of its attachment to a pole.

You may also need to attach a stay to a pole to maneuver around obstacles. You can do this by selecting use bollard pole.

The stay cable type will default to the first cable type in your library, make sure this is changed as required.

Left-clicking on a pole with the move and select tool in use will open the properties tab as shown below. Here, stays can be automatically added to mitigate calculated issues such as excessive tension, by clicking the 'Add Opposing Stay' text. This will automatically add the stay to the selected pole and will update all structural test calculations accordingly.
